MADISON (AP) - Nearly 7,000 Wisconsin National Guard troops are available for possible duty along the U.S-Mexico border should they be needed to help build fences and stem the flow of illegal immigrants, a Guard spokesman said Thursday.

"None have been requested yet," Lt. Col. Tim Donovan said.
