Editor's note: Sgt. Michael E. Clasen is a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. On June 12, he was activated in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. A 1995 graduate of Western Dubuque High School, Clasen joined the Marine Reserves in May 1998. He graduated this spring from Clarke College. He is married and has two children.
He is corresponding with TH reporter Craig Reber, as well as with family and friends. Occasional articles will appear during his deployment to Iraq.See the full content of this document
