Is it just me, or has this been an uncommonly exciting election year? The pundits say we're polarized, but at least we care. There's a sense that the stakes are high.

In fact, some of us want our guy to win so badly that in Des Moines, where I live, the Republicans are accusing the Democrats of monkey business with absentee ballots, and the Democrats are accusing the Republicans of scaring people out of voting by pointing out ballot problems via automated phone calls.
