In case Iowans aren't getting the message, some state lawmakers want to make sure the no-smoking light is lit for everyone to see, especially when it comes to the state's school grounds.

March 12, during the same week Gov. Chet Culver signed a bill raising the state's cigarette tax by $1 per pack, the House Education Committee introduced a bill that would prohibit the use of tobacco at any school- related facilities or events.
