I will never forget my very first impression of the Dubuque ThunderBirds.

It came way back in the spring of 2001, shortly after the Fighting Saints announced their relocation to Tulsa, Okla., for the next United States Hockey League season. The team didn't even have a nickname or a coach at that point.
