Strike 2; Finley Nurses Take to the Picket Line Again

About 30 picketers took up positions ringing The Finley Hospital shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday, signaling the start of the second strike in as many months by nurses represented by Service Employees International Union Local 199.

"It is sad that it has come to this again," said Lynn LeBlanc, a Finley nurse since 1992 who struck the hospital in the predawn darkness. "It is also empowering to be with a strong group of women and men and fighting for a cause we really believe in."
