CEDAR RAPIDS (AP) - Steven Dose, who spent time in prison for a sex crime against a child, said a state law that prohibits registered sex offenders from living within 2,000 feet of a school or day care center will leave some offenders homeless or they will end up back in prison.

Dose, in an interview with The Gazette, said many offenders will be unable to comply with the law and find a place to live. He contends they'll end up homeless or committing crimes so they can go back to prison.
