In honor of national police memorial week, members of the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Department and local police departments will be placing a wreath at the Galena Veteran's Memorial - located just outside the flood gates on Main Street - at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15.

A short service will be held to honor the men and women of law enforcement and the public is invited to attend.
