This week, millions of people in the country and hundreds of people locally have volunteered to help others. They are doing what they always do, but this week their efforts are being honored.

This is the 30th National Volunteer Week and the theme is "Volunteers Inspire by Example." Last year, nearly a half-million volunteers participated in 2,400 local service projects during this week.
