There was no evidence of anger or disappointment in Ron Turner's voice Wednesday as he talked about his eight seasons as head coach at Illinois. If Turner thinks his firing in November was unfair, he kept that to himself.

"Things usually happen for the best," Turner said. "I loved it. I had eight great years. There were a lot of good memories. I made a lot of friends. My kids see that as home. It was good, but it's time to move on."
