CHAMPAIGN (AP) - Illinois corn farmers joined their colleagues across the nation to harvest a record crop in 2003, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported Monday.

Final figures showed that 10.1 billion bushels of corn were harvested nationwide compared to the 2002 harvest of 9.01 billion bushels, the USDA reported.
