MILWAUKEE (AP) - Three Republican lawmakers said Wednesday that Wisconsinites deserve a gas tax "holiday" for the rest of the year that would cut pump prices by 15 cents per gallon and potentially save them $170.3 million.

The legislators are proposing to cut the gas tax of 29.9 cents per gallon between Sept. 1 to Dec. 31 at all pumps in Wisconsin. It would save about $100 for a family with two cars, they said.
