Apparently, the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association has a pretty firm grasp on its weekly poll.

After the first week of tournament play, 30 of the 40 teams ranked in the final top-10s remain in the tournament. All 10 of the teams ranked in the final Class 4A poll survived the first round of substate play on Saturday evening, and nine ranked teams in Class 3A advanced.
