CARTER LAKE - A Carter Lake police officer is recovering after the police chief accidentally shot him at police headquarters, officials said.
City Attorney Joe Thornton said Police Chief Shawn Kannedy was discussing firearms with two officers on Wednesday when Kannedy's weapon went off. Sgt. Dan Driver, who was hit in the torso, was reported in good condition at a nearby hospital.See the full content of this document
