DARLINGTON, Wis. - Elected president of the Badger State Sheriff's Association earlier this year, now Lafayette County Sheriff Scott Pedley has another key state position.

Pedley recently was named chairman of the state Department of Justice's Law Enforcement Standards Board. The board establishes employment and basic training requirements for Wisconsin's law enforcement, mail and secure detention officers - more than 16,000 individuals.
