In a continuing effort to put the city's best foot forward, East Dubuque Business and Tourism reached a decision to produce a new tourist brochure for the city. Lasts year's effort in this cause by the group resulted in the well-received book, "East Dubuque: Our History, Our Heritage, Our Pride."

By careful budgeting, the organization set aside the lion's share of the funding required to produce the new brochure. Additional funding has been applied for from the Jo Daviess Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Since the cost per unit decreases with the number ordered, it was decided to go with an order of 10,000.
