Loras College track coach Desiree Orwig-Gremmel, who is facing criminal charges in Grant County, Wis., has resigned.

Orwig-Gremmel, who established the Duhawks men's and women's track teams as upper-tier programs in NCAA Division III, informed school President Jim Collins of her decision Thursday. She also has stepped down from her position as an assistant professor of physical education at the school.
