A group of Wahlert Catholic High School students and St. Columbkille's Catholic Church members traveled to Honduras in March for a weeklong mission trip. Their story is told by two students who were seniors.
Upon arriving at Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras, we soon understood the need for such mission trips, as the thick, polluted air filled our noses. Although the landscape is very beautiful, it's completely covered in trash. Junk piles were being burned, undernourished animals searched for food and people were trying to make their daily living by selling anything and everything on the side of the road.See the full content of this document
