She will work with local high school and college vocal students during the day and invite some of them to perform in the evening. She will sing a few of her favorite songs, tell a few stories and do a Q&A. tidbits - She has just completed a cast recording of 'White Christmas.' From that, album she'll sing "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy." - She has been singing the ballad, "It Never Entered My Mind," since her 30s, when she thought of it as being about a lover who left. When she was in her 50s, a woman said, "I love that song about you being a widow." Nothing had changed, but people interpreted it differently. - She was a regular on Garrison Keillor's "Prairie Home Companion" when it was broadcast from New York City. - "The Garry Moore Show," a TV variety show, received hate mail after she appeared with black singer Nat King Cole and held his hand during the show's signature finale.

The nuns at Clarke College never gave Karen Morrow much of a chance to sing back in the 1950s, but the priests over at Loras College did.
