Summary
The East Dubuque Merchants lost to Cascade 5-1 in the Rickardsville Tournament last week. Joe Lange allowed Cascade just five hits in taking the loss. Cascade beat Farley and Balltown and played Bernard in the championship game this past Tuesday at Rickardsville. Lange hit a homer in the second inning, and Blaine Nicks had a double for the Merchants. The Merchants are now 8-0 in Prairie League play and 10-5 for the season.
