The Maquoketa High School Class of 1979 has endowed a scholarship fund through the Maquoketa Area Community Foundation, according to Kate Carinder, executive director.
Two years ago, Chuck Current, a member of the Class of 1979, approached the foundation about the possibility of establishing such a fund and began contacting classmates. There was a big push to have the scholarship funded fully by the 25th class reunion.See the full content of this document
