President Bush is comparing the war in Iraq to World War II. This comparison is invalid. For example, during World War II, everybody sacrificed. In this war, only the military and their families are sacrificing. During World War II, gasoline, food and clothing were strictly rationed. Today, people are buying more and more of these products. During World War II, taxes were raised very high to pay for the war. Today, we are borrowing money to pay for this war. During World War II, there was a draft. Today "draft" is a dirty word.
