The Aug. 13 TH featured an article, "Buol wants to paint Dubuque green." Dubuque Mayor Roy Buol attended the U.S. Conference of Mayors in June where energy efficiency was a major topic of discussions. The mayor believes the city should take an active role in promoting a "greener" city. Lost in the story was the irony that the conference was held in the model city of energy waste, extravagance and excess, Las Vegas.
