This is in regard to Dan Loney's Sept 6 letter to the editor. Everyone would agree that any American soldier who has ever fought for freedom in any war is to be highly respected and always honored. Mr. Loney's service to his country while in Vietnam is most admirable. The troops involved in the occupation of Iraq and the conflict in Afghanistan are also greatly respected and honored.
