What started out as a way to curb a problem of the insurance industry jettisoning people in their plans because of a severe or prolonged illness and not covering people for prior illnesses has come down to big government taking over one-seventh of our economy by means of coercion and prostitution of politicians who abandon their principles for payoffs.

Unfunded government demands to care for all entering our hospitals, including illegals, shifted costs to those paying for care and provided incentive for people to not be responsible for themselves.
