IOWA CITY (AP) - Rep. Jim Leach, who is planning a trip to the region that was devastated by tsunamis, said people shouldn't be too quick to judge the country's response to the disaster.

President Bush initially pledge $15 million following the disaster. The figure was smaller than aid promised by smaller countries, such as Britain, France and Denmark, and was criticized by U.N. official Jon Egeland.
