CHICAGO (AP) - Democratic Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. announced Wednesday that he is exploring a possible run for mayor of Chicago, saying "it's more likely than not" that he will enter the February contest.

Jackson, the son of civil rights leader the Rev. Jesse Jackson, said he would decide on a mayoral bid after the November election where he is up for re-election to the seat he has held for 11 years.
