DES MOINES (AP) - A House committee launched an investigation Wednesday into why some Iowa National Guard members and thousands more soldiers nationwide missed out on their full educational benefits under the GI Bill.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee became involved at the request of Rep. Bruce Braley, D-Iowa, who said the troops are being denied benefits based on a technicality.
