DES MOINES (AP) - Iowa National Guard Soldiers who routinely escorted Iraqi prisoners to the Abu Ghraib prison when they served as part of a military police company said they saw nothing that indicated the type of abuse depicted in recently released photos.
"If the allegations as to what they were doing were actually true, it's unacceptable," said Staff Sgt. Tim Rains, a Polk County jailer who spent a year in Iraq guarding prisoners as part of the 186th Military Police Company. "It gives us a bad name."See the full content of this document
