DES MOINES (AP) - A key business group said it would push the Legislature to overhaul the state's complex property tax system, as well as revamp the way highway construction is funded to pour more money into the most heavily traveled roads.
At the same time, The Iowa Chamber Alliance said it is flatly opposed to efforts to increase the state's gasoline tax. The group said lawmakers should "carefully scrutinize existing expenditures before considering additional revenues."See the full content of this document
