CHICAGO (AP) - With ethics a key campaign issue, two Republican gubernatorial candidates predicted that former GOP Gov. George Ryan will be convicted in his federal corruption trial, and all agreed Thursday that he violated the public's trust even if he committed no crime.
Four of the five candidates participated in an Associated Press forum on the issues that have taken center stage leading up to the March 21 primary. Only front-runner Judy Baar Topinka declined to attend, saying she's tired of letting her opponents "bash me."See the full content of this document
