Dubuque lost a wonderful citizen and many of us lost a wonderful friend recently, when Matthew A. Deely left us for the world beyond. Although I basically only knew Matt on a professional level, we were on a first-name basis. Come to think of it, I'm sure Matt probably was on a first-name basis with everyone he knew.

He was just that kind of a guy.
