DYERSVILLE, Iowa - As plans for a proposed ethanol plant move forward quietly, pressure to hold public hearings on the proposed development is mounting.

About 40 people crammed into City Hall on Monday for the Dyersville City Council meeting. Many in attendance were members of a group pushing for more information on the proposed $165 million US BioEnergy Corp. ethanol plant outside the north edge of town.
