MARQUETTE, Iowa - Superintendent Phyllis Ewing announced Effigy Mounds National Monument will host a celebration of American Indian arts and culture from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 21.
Earlier this year, Gov. Culver proclaimed the week of July 7-14 "The Week of the Ioway." On July 21, American Indian Heritage Day will celebrate the culture of the Ioway, the Ho-Chunk and the Winnebago.
