The young Loras Duhawks continue to make baby steps after an 0-7 start to the 2005 college volleyball season. This weekend, Loras went 2-2 at its own invitational and came dangerously close to knocking off perennial Iowa Conference power Wartburg.

It's all a process for the Duhawks, who began to see signs of improvement at last weekend's Clarke Invitational. This weekend at the Graber Center, Loras beat Clarke and St. Catherine on Friday night, then on Saturday fell to Wartburg in a five-game thriller and lost to Ashford while resting some starters.
