Doyle, Leaders Hash Over Budget

MADISON (AP) - Top lawmakers and Gov. Jim Doyle talked behind closed doors on Wednesday, while a bipartisan committee charged with reaching a budget deal made no progress at its 14th meeting since July.

After meeting separately with the Republican leader of the Assembly and the Democratic leader of the Senate, Doyle said "there's still some very, very big differences" between the two parties.
