Scores of kids will be sporting new shoes in a few weeks, thanks to two local businesses and a youth agency. Labor Ready provided the money, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dubuque provided the kids and Payless Shoe Source will provide the shoes.

Friday, a number of youngsters, all club members, lined up to get their feet measured by volunteers from Labor Ready and Payless. The list of sizes and styles will be filled and brought back to the club, where the shoes will be handed out in two weeks.
