DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - More than $34,000 in taxpayer money intended for programs at a troubled job training agency was used instead as bonuses for agency employees, documents show.

A memo from the files of the Central Iowa Employment and Training Consortium shows that Polk County officials specified nine CIETC workers who were to get the bonuses, the Des Moines Sunday Register reported in a copyright story.
