MADISON (AP) - A group of people who claim a Milwaukee priest sexually assaulted them decades ago filed civil complaints against the church too late, a state appeals court ruled Friday.
The 1st District Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 that the statute of limitations had expired and the First Amendment bans negligence claims against churches. The ruling mirrors similar state Supreme Court decisions from the late 1990s.See the full content of this document
