Leaving closing time at 3:30 a.m. for East Dubuque bars with Class B licenses wasn't on the East Dubuque City Council's agenda Monday, April 19, but it was on the minds of most of those filling the council chamber.

Audience members asked the council to reconsider its 2007 vote to close six of the city's taverns 30 minutes earlier, but as the item was not on the agenda, council members were left with two options: stand firm on their original decision or vote to add the item to the next city council session (May 3) for discussion.
