DAVENPORT (AP) - U.S. Army 1st Lt. Aaron Fredenburg regularly patrols the streets of two northwest Baghdad neighborhoods, looking for roadside bombs, conducting raids on homes and securing a main troop supply route.

The Davenport native's missions also include handing out backpacks and candy to the children of those neighborhoods.
