Some Hurricane Katrina evacuees fled the killer storm so quickly they forgot their identification, their medication and a change of shoes.

"Some people can't even remember who their insurance agent is," said Heidi Goin, emergency services director at the American Red Cross of the Tri-States. "They are so traumatized."
