DES MOINES (AP) - A group of young professionals spoke in favor of lawmakers' economic development efforts Monday, especially legislation that would give them a voice in decisions.

The Senate Economic Growth Committee has discussed legislation that would require two members of a newly created 11-member Iowa Values Board to be younger than 30. It also would appoint members younger than 30 to Cultural and Entertainment District advisory boards and other groups.
