MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Gov. Jim Doyle's administration is paying a lawyer and former head of the state Democratic Party $230 per hour to fight the Ho-Chunk Nation's attempt to get out of paying $60 million in a dispute over its gambling compact with the state.
Matt Flynn, a frequent campaign donor to Doyle, so far has been paid $50,000 in legal fees to represent the state. He was hired last year after the attorney general declined to represent the state in the lawsuit.See the full content of this document
