DES MOINES (AP) - Fueled by a rise in the number of child support cases and innovative collection techniques, Iowa child support collections hit a record $302.7 million during fiscal year 2004.

Collections have risen by more than $100 million in the past six years, according to figures from the state's Child Support Recovery Unit.
