3-time Dancer Callahan: Madness 'unmatchable' Craig Callahan has been in Jordan Eglseder's sneakers, and he has a recommendation for his fellow local big man, who will make his NCAA debut Thursday. Don't blink. Callahan, a Cascade, Iowa, native, was the last tri- stater to play in the NCAA tournament, going to the Big Dance with North Carolina-Wilmington in 2000, 2002 and 2003. "I am very happy for Jordan. This is an experience that he will never forget," Callahan said in an e-mail interview from Germany, where he is playing professionally. "There is something about being a part of March Madness that is unmatchable in basketball. "My advice to Jordan is to take the games very seriously and give your best effort, but remember to take everything in and enjoy it all. I remember the five-star hotels, the press conferences, the crowds, the cameras ... it's all part of the atmosphere." Callahan's 13th- seeded Seahawks upset Southern California in the first round of the '02 tournament before falling to Final Four participant Indiana. -- Troy Johnson News You can use
