ELIZABETH, Ill. - Jo-Carroll Energy Inc. and Farmers Mutual Electric Company have announced plans to combine to form a larger, member-owned utility cooperative.
The combination, which is subject to approval by the members of Farmers Mutual, will result in a not-for-profit cooperative serving approximately 28,000 electric and natural gas accounts in portions of Carroll, Jo Daviess, Henry and Whiteside counties.
