SPRINGFIELD (AP) - Legislative leaders said Tuesday that hope is dimming to get a budget deal done by Thursday, the start of the state's new fiscal year.
The four legislative leaders met briefly with Gov. Rod Blagojevich Tuesday morning but accomplished little. They planned to meet again later in the day as they look for ways to fill a roughly $2.3 billion hole in the budget.See the full content of this document
