MADISON (AP) - A woman serving a life prison term for killing her day-old baby and leaving the body in a Dumpster should stay behind bars, the governor's Pardon Advisory Board decided Friday on a unanimous vote.

Mary Leggate, of Superior, has served 12 years at Taycheedah Correctional Institution. She had asked the board to recommend Gov. Jim Doyle end her sentence and let her go free, claiming the pregnancy resulted from a rape that pushed her into a semi- psychotic state and she suffered from postpartum depression.
