Eboo Patel, the author of Loras College's common campus reading for 2011, "Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for a Soul of a Generation," will speak at Loras from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the campus Athletic Wellness Center.

Patel will talk on "Acts of Faith: Interfaith Leadership in a Time of Global Crisis." He is a member of President Barack Obama's inaugural Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships and the founder and executive director of the Interfaith Youth Core, a Chicago-based nonprofit .
